Probably. Though at that point all she could say was "Duck." Only she said it all consonants, no vowels: "dk! dk!"

Come to think of it, maybe that was a stock tip. It was during the plunge, after all: Duck, Mommy! Falling stocks!

Actually, Mermaid Girl was 16 months old, and on her way home from visiting her grandma and great-grandma in Wyoming. But she did seem to be investing in stock, or at least considering calling her broker.

At that age, she could say "Booty" (as in "Veggie Booty", her favourite snack) and "comp'ny" (used for, "Keep me company!").
